About Project
Hman Si Monastery School is a school that provides boarding education for high school boys and girls. It currently has two dormitories with 3 classrooms each. Although the abbot wants to run only middle and high school levels, since opening a formal government-accredited school requires starting from KG, there are also a few younger students.
The abbot especially prioritized ensuring safe and secure dormitories for female students. At the time, there were over 180 female boarding students living in cramped conditions, though they maintained cleanliness and discipline. Additionally, 140 male students and 40 novices were found staying in monastery dormitories.
To support the school, a one-story school building with 6 classrooms and a boys’ dormitory with double-decker beds were donated. As the number of boarding students increased after the new classrooms were available, additional dormitories were needed. Therefore, two girls’ dormitories with double-decker beds were also donated.
Due to the school’s cleanliness, discipline, and good organization, a donation of 31 computers was made to the Hman Si School as well.
