About Project
Phat Shay Monastery School currently offers classes from KG to Grade 8 and has 835 students. The school has one two-story school building with 8 classrooms, but other school buildings are only makeshift structures covered with bamboo mats, which are no longer stable. These temporary classrooms are also not weatherproof, so on rainy days, the school often has to close.
To address this, an 8-classroom, two-story school building was constructed and donated.
However, with the implementation of the new national education system, more grade levels were added, leading to an increased demand for classrooms. Since this is a mountainous region far from the city, an additional 4-classroom, two-story school building and 31 computers were also donated.
Moreover, even though there are over 900 households and around 5,300 people in the area, the village faces drinking water shortages. Therefore, assistance was also provided for the water distribution project, which involved digging channels from the mountain to bring water to the village.
