About Project
Kan Kyi Kone School has over 1,900 students, but due to insufficient classrooms and desks, many young students had to sit on the floor for their lessons. The school offers education from KG to Grade 10, and because it is located in the expanding urban area of Mandalay, the number of student families has rapidly increased, leading to a rise in student numbers.
To help meet this demand, a 2-story school building with 12 classrooms was donated. After its completion, visits to the school showed improved cleanliness and organization, allowing teachers to teach effectively and students to receive better education. As word spread, more parents enrolled their children, increasing the student population to over 2,900, creating another need for additional classrooms.
To address this, an additional 2-story building with 8 classrooms and 31 computers were donated. Furthermore, with the national education system extending to Grade 12, the school required even more space. To meet this, a 2-story building with 4 classrooms was built next to the previously donated school building, along with an additional 15 computers.
